Organisation: Texas German Club, UT Austin. Event: club shirt, March 2026. What we did: design and production. Instagram: @texasgermanclub.
The Texas German Club at UT Austin needed a shirt that explains the club in one look, ideally before the beer does. So: the longhorn, wearing a feathered Bavarian alpine hat, under “THE Texas German Club” in burnt orange serif. Two cultures, one mascot, zero explanation needed. It is Texas and Bavaria agreeing, for once, that a hat improves everything. Twenty-three natural tees, designed from scratch and delivered to the club. The club is UT Austin’s German language and culture club, open to every level, and its bio sums it up in three words: Language, Culture, Community. Most weeks run on Stammtisch, casual German conversation over food and drinks at Scholz Garten, Austin’s historic German beer garden, and fall means Oktoberfest outings and a Wurstfest trip to New Braunfels. Student orgs are some of my favourite clients: the budgets are real, the deadlines are real, and the shirts get worn for years, usually ironically at first and then completely sincerely.
